OREANDA-NEWS. February 27, 2012. Belarus’ gross domestic product (GDP) expanded 3.6% on the year in January 2012 to 34 .327 trillion Belarusian rubles (USD 4.1 billion at the central bank’s exchange rate), an official with Belarus’ National Statistics Committee told reporters.

Industrial output in January 2012 increased 6.6% on the year to Br48.471 trillion (Br8,330/USD 1).

Farm output rose 6.3% to Br4.444 trillion.

In 2011, Belarus’ GDP grew 5.3% on the year to 274.3 trillion Belarusian rubles. Industrial output amounted to 337 trillion rubles, up 9.1% on the year. Farm output increased 6.6% to 56.7 trillion rubles.
