OREANDA-NEWS. April 19, 2012. The Azerbaijani delegation of officials of the Ministry of Communications & IT is taking part in two-day regional exhibition and conference Caspian Telecoms 2012 started in Istanbul today.

The Ministry reports in recent years the event has steadily expanded and has been recognized the leading forum on telecommunications and information technologies for the Caspian region, CIS countries, Turkey and Central Asia.

At the conference official delegations representing Azerbaijan, Russia, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Georgia and other countries of the region will have the opportunity to discuss topical issues and the potential for regional cooperation and socio-economic development.

Discussions and reports of the conference will cover issues of policy communications, advanced technology and the introduction of advanced technologies.

The Azerbaijani representatives will deliver at the conference the reports on the development of communications and IT, mass introduction of broadband services in regions of the country, and talk about project Trans-Eurasian Information Super Highway (TASIM).

In addition to representatives of communication administrations, the event involves equipment manufacturers, telecom operators, financial institutions, international organizations, etc.
