OREANDA-NEWS. July 06, 2012. Power Machines OJSC has produced and tested the second turbogenerator within the framework of an investment project to build Novokuznetskaya gas turbine power plant (Novokuznetskaya GTPP) implemented by Kuzbassenergo JSC (a member of the Siberian Generating Company group).

The first turbogenerator was manufactured in April this year. At present, Power Machines production facilities continue to manufacture two gas turbines for Novokuznetskaya GTPP. The deliveries of power generating equipment to Kuzbassenergo are to be completed in Q3 2012.

In December 2010, Power Machines OJSC and Sibirenergoengineering JSC (general contractor for Novokuznetskaya GTPP construction) signed a contract to manufacture and supply two gas turbines complete with generators and provide supervision services during the installation and commissioning of the equipment supplied.

Kuzbassenergo began the construction of Novokuznetskaya gas turbine power plant at Kuznetskaya CHP site in November 2011. The new power plant is being built as part of the  contract to provide capacity. The project envisages the construction of two gas turbine units with total capacity of 298 MW (2x149 MW). Novokuznetskaya GTPP is to be put into operation in December 2013.

In addition to the equipment for Novokuznetskaya GTPP, Power Machines also manufacture and supply steam turbines and turbogenerators for other two power plants belonging to Kuzbassenergo ‑ Tom-Usinskaya and Belovskaya SDPPs. Power Machines are to supply two 115 MW steam turbines to Tom-Usinskaya power plant, as well as two 225 MW turbines and two turbogenerators for these turbines to Belovskaya SDPP. The equipment deliveries start in September 2012 and completed in June 2013.
