OREANDA-NEWS. July 12, 2012. A meeting between Andrey Kruglov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Committee – Head of the Finance and Economics Department of Gazprom, and James Dimon, Chairman of the Board and CEO of JPMorgan Chase & Co. took place today in New York.

The meeting addressed the progress with cooperation between the two companies. The parties lauded the high level of interaction during Gazprom's fundraising activities in the international capital markets and the joint work with investors.

Andrey Kruglov and James Dimon discussed the prospects for cooperation, particularly joint efforts in Eurobonds issue and derivative instrument transactions. In addition, the parties discussed potential involvement of JPMorgan Chase & Co. in the deals aimed to expand Gazprom's presence in the international market.

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is a top-ranked global financial corporation, one of the leaders in investment banking, consumer and corporate banking, asset management and private investment. Following the 2011 results, JPMorgan Chase & Co. assets made up USD 2.3 trillion, net profit – USD 18.9 billion. The corporation has operated in the Russian market since 1973.

Gazprom and JPMorgan Chase & Co. has been partners since 2004. The company has arranged for Gazprom a number of syndicated loans totaling USD 780 million and co-organized the successful Gazprom Eurobonds issues totaling USD 4.7 billion.

In October 2010 JPMorgan Chase & Co. became the corporate broker of Gazprom.
