OREANDA-NEWS. July 12, 2012. The largest producer of construction materials in the Samara region “Zhigulevskie stroymaterialy”, JSC that is part of the “EUROCEMENT group” Holding, summed up the production activity in the first half of 2012.

 The main results in comparison with the first half of 2011 are the following:

 The volume of cement production grew by 17.3%.

 The volume cement shipments grew by 12.6%.

For the six months of 2012 “Zhigulevskie stroymaterialy”, JSC produced 487KT of cement, which is 72KT more in comparison with the same period last year. The increase in production of cement has been provided by an increase in sales.

To date, shipment of bagged and bulk cement from the plant is still carried out by railroad and by road transport. Twelve cement trucks with the company logo implement centralized delivery of cement to customers in the Samara Region.

The shipping figures increased by 53.7KT in comparison with the first half of 2011 and amounted to 480.8KT of cement. Increase in the volume of cement shipments can be explained by a stable position of the plant on a regional market.

During the first half of 2012, the plant conducted the following repair works: lining and ignition of the rotary kiln number 1 has been done. Raw mill number 2, number 4, number 5, and cement mill number 5, number 6, number 7 have been refurbished. Completed repair of packaging machines. Within the framework of the investment program implemented by the Holding and aimed at cement silos, nine magnetic separators for removing metallic impurities from grinding media from cement has been installed. All filtering devices at the clinker burning division and cement shipping and packaging division have been repaired. The production of quick-portland cement CEM II / A-R (W-P) B 32.5 grade, which is characterized by high strength characteristics in the early stages of hardening, and which has successfully passed the regional stage of the competition “100 Best Goods of Russia” and made it to the federal stage of this competition, has been mastered.

Currently, a scheduled repair of rotary kiln number 3 with the replacement of body 8 running meters length-wise is being carried out, and work on the installation and commissioning of the third chimney draught at the clinker burning division have been finished.

The plans of the plant also include implementation of the shipment of cement by water transport. In order to make this happen, now the maintenance of cement lines and loading facilities by the contractor is being conducted.
