OREANDA-NEWS. October 15, 2012. Alexander Khudilainen has summarized his trip to Pudozh region at the meeting with deputies and heads of settlements of the region. A detailed conversation on problems of the territory and ways of their solution took place there.

Bad roads and bridges, lack of funds in budgets of settlements, the course of the heating season, laying-in of firewood, work of doctors in remote settlements became subjects of the conversation with representatives of the municipal authority.

Like in other regions of the republic, Head of Karelia has suggested heads of local self-government to begin with putting in order the economy of the region: to make enterprises pay taxes in full, to debar paying cash-in-hand wages and using various "grey" schemes.

– First, we should build the system of solving our problems, – Head of Karelia addressed to representatives of local authorities. – This work will let us solve many emerging questions according to the plan.

The Government of the republic already works on specific projects which will allow to improve life of the people living in the region. One of the main problems here is a bad condition of the road from Medvezhiegorsk to Pudozh. As Alexander Khudilainen has told, auction for works on repair of several sites of this road amounting to 300 million roubles has been announced by now. The funds will be absorbed next and the following years.

Besides, Head of the republic has already had two meetings with Minister of Transport of Russia concerning transfer of this road into the federal ownship, that will allow to improve its condition gradually. The road may have an influence on the economy of the region as a whole.

– If we set the road in order it will be demanded no less than Kola. I am sure that we will get a hearing in the Russian Government, – Alexander Khudilainen said.

In conclusion of the meeting the deputies and heads of settlements have pointed out that such direct dialogues with Head of Karelia are necessary for local authorities, therefore they will continue in the future.
