OREANDA-NEWS. November 28, 2012. UTair Aviation and B/E Aerospace have signed a deal for the delivery of Pinnacle passenger seats for the interior of the airline’s Airbus A320 and Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

Pinnacle seats are next generation seats featuring modern ergonomic design to raise the level of comfort for passengers, making long-haul flights more pleasant. Constructed using ultramodern composite materials, the seats weigh 15% less than other models in their size category. This feature alone decreases total weight of aircraft and improves overall operational efficiency.

All 20 of the new 20 Airbus aircraft to be delivered to UTair in the third quarter of 2013 and the 40 Boeing 737-800 aircraft that will enter the UTair fleet in the coming years will be equipped with Pinnacle seats. Pinnacle seats will also be installed in UTair’s current fleet of Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

B/E Aerospace will also equip the new UTair aircraft with modern galley equipment, including new microwave ovens, water heaters and coffee machines.

UTair Aviation ranks among the top three Russian airlines. In 2011 UTair aircraft transported 6,750,425 passengers. In the period from January-June 2012 UTair Group serviced 40.9% more passengers than for the same period of 2011. In 2012 the airline expects an increased transport volume of up to 10 million passengers. The airline operates more than 200 fixed wing aircraft and performs flights to 110 destinations in Russia and aboard. The airline maintains its central hub at Vnukovo International Airport in Moscow, from which it performs 100 flights daily.
