OREANDA-NEWS. February 28, 2013. Russian Agricultural Bank (RusAg) has supported the organization of the XXIV Congress of Association of Farms and Agricultural Cooperatives of Russia. Discussions at the congress included topical questions of state support of farmers and various aspects of lending to agricultural producers.

In 2012, RusAg provided over 19 thousand loans for the total amount exceeding RUB 55 billion to agricultural consumer cooperatives, farms and household plots owners. The portfolio of loans to these types of borrowers has grown almost 24% and exceeded RUB 90 billion. Alongside with increased lending the Bank has designed new types of loans.

RusAg’s strategy through 2020 defines rural small business support as one of its key business segments. The Bank will continue its work aimed to increase loan availability through further improving and expanding the product range by means of adapting it to the clients’ needs and WTO requirements. According to RusAg’s business plan for 2013 the loan portfolio to these types of borrowers will grow 17.4% to RUB 106 billion.
