OREANDA-NEWS. March 01, 2013. Nominal average wage in January 2013 was amounted to UAH 3000 compared to January of the previous year 110.2%, and to December 2012 88.8%.

The relative decrease in the average wage in January to the previous month is a typical seasonal phenomenon, because in December, before the New Year additional benefits traditionally are carried out.

In 2008-2012 years seasonal decrease in the average January payment was always around 12%.

The reason for this tendency is the one-time payments, which are typically carried out in December - interest on annual performance, seniority, compensation for unused vacation days, etc., as well as reducing waste fund and paid work time per one employee in January compared with December.
