OREANDA-NEWS. Transaero's frequent flyer program, Transaero Privilege, has seen a rapid increase in membership and has recently exceeded 500,000 members with approximately 600 passengers joining the program daily. Transaero Airline expects the total membership in the Privilege Program to reach 700,000 by the end of 2013.

Launched in 1995, Transaero Privilege was the first frequent flyer program in Russia. Since its arrival into the Russian market, Transaero has continuously enhanced the program. Privilege members earn points flying with Transaero as well as making purchases with plastic cards issued by banks partnering with Transaero and using services provided by Privilege program partners. Accumulated points can be redeemed for flights or flight upgrades.

Passengers can collect points when they fly on Transaero’s both scheduled and charter flights. They can claim points for a flight within three years after the date of the flight.

There are three levels within the Program: Basic, Silver and Gold. Moving through the levels Privilege members enjoy more benefits. Silver and Gold card holders can take advantage of the following benefits: business lounges, an additional free luggage allowance and flight upgrades as well as other benefits.

Transaero Privilege partners with nine banks using the world's most popular payment services: Visa, Master Card and American Express. Its co-brand partners include Promsvyazbank, VTB 24, Russkiy Standard, Gazprombank, SMP, Rosbank, Moscow Industrial Bank and NOMOS-BANK.

Co-brand cards are popular among Privilege members as they allow to accumulate points faster. Moreover, points collected within co-brand card program correspond to certain card types, so the exclusive categories of bank clients, i.e. Platinum and Infinite card holders, can enjoy more points earned for their transactions.

Within the program collected points can be transferred to family members. Points for flights booked for a child are transferred to a parent’s account.

Moreover, Transaero Privilege members can earn discounts of up to 50% on round-trip airfare with accumulated points. Silver and Gold card holders of the Privilege program can earn discounts for business-class airfare for accompanying passengers as well.

Privilege program members also take advantage of a reward flight in Imperial class on the Transaero’s flights where this class configuration is available.

The Transaero Privilege program offers its members ever expanding opportunities. The information on Privilege program is available on Transaero’s web-site. Privilege members can now track information on accumulated points and their account history using mobile devices.
