OREANDA-NEWS. The state-owned Belarusian company OJSC Belaruskali says its export proceeds reduced 30.8% year-on-year in January-February 2013, a source in the profile ministry told reporters.

In January-February 2013 OJSC Belaruskali exported 604,300 tonnes of potash fertilizer (in terms of 100% potassium chloride), to compare with 386,000 tonnes exported in January-February 2012.

Export proceeds totalled USD 381.94 million in Jan-Feb 2013, to compare with USD 291.85 million in Jan-Feb 2012.

The average price of Belarusian potash fertilizer in Jan-Feb 2013 stood at USD 632per tonne to compare with USD 755.9 per tonnes in Jan-Feb 2012.

Belaruskali exported around 3.668 million tonnes of potash fertilizer (in terms of 100% potassium chloride) in 2012 (4.698 million in 2011), the average price being USD 727 per tonnes (USD 713).

Belaruskali’s revenues reduced to 2.667 trillion rubles in 2012 from 3.249 trillion rubles in 2011.

The state-owned Belarusian company OJSC Belaruskali is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of potash fertilizers, employing about 18,440 personnel. It operates the Starobinskoye potash salts deposit and comprises four mine groups, auxiliary shops and support units.

Belaruskali controls 16% of the world’s potash fertilizer market.
