OREANDA-NEWS. First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus, Vladimir Semashko, headed the construction staff meeting with regard to the project of “Reconstruction of Boiler House no.3 of Zhodinskaya TPP, including the construction of CCPP-65”.

The participants of the meeting noted that the project has been implemented in accordance with the time schedule. Until present, the equipment has been entirely supplied. The main units have been mounted on their foundations, the metal works of the main building are about to be installed completely and works on closing the shell, core and utilities (so called “thermal envelope”) are ongoing.

As of today, reconstruction of Boiler house no.3 at Zhodinskaya TPP, including the construction of CCPP-65 is one of the biggest investment projects in thermal power generation of the Republic of Belarus which has been implemented within the state program for energy efficiency and energy saving. The project provides for the construction of state-of-the-art power unit of 65 MW with the use of combined cycle technology. Electrical efficiency will make 49.5%.

JSC “E4 Group” signed the EPC contract for this project in December 2011. According to the contract, the Company has to perform comprehensive construction of a new power unit, including the supply of equipment, testing, as well as design engineering, installation, commissioning, completion and putting into operation. It is planned that the reliability run of the equipment will take place in March 2014.

Zhodinskaya TPP is a branch office of the Minsk Republican Unitary Enterprise for Electric Power “Minskenergo”. TPP supplies electric power to the single electric system of the Republic of Belarus, as well as thermal power in steam and district water for industrial and household needs
