OREANDA-NEWS. November 08, 2013. This is stipulated by amendments to the regulations on making and submitting reports for prudential purposes, drafted by NBM in order to improve methods of the banking supervision and presented for agitation.

The amendments have been drafted to improve rules concerning the transparency of the structure of shareholders in commercial banks, capital contributions, etc. In line with them, the banks of Moldova are to provide NBM with the detailed information about the shareholders registered in the register of owners of securities and about indirect owners of essential shares in the equity capital, about alienated shares, etc.

For this purpose, the banks are to indicate when the first record in the register of owners of securities was made about this or that stockholder, when the shares were sold or alienated last time. They are also to inform NBM about indirect holders and real owners of shares, about how the control is performed, about owners of more than 1% shareholdings who took part in the last general meeting.
