OREANDA-NEWS. Mikhailovcement, a member of EUROCEMENT Group, demonstrates steady growth of production indicators at January 2014 month end against the same period a year earlier. In the reporting month, the enterprise released 81,600 tons of clinker (cement semiproduct) and produced 64,400 tons of cement, up 36% (21,600 tons) and 2.9% (1,800 tons) against January 2013 respectively.

Mikhailovcement also saw continued growth of bagged cement output. At January 2014 month end, 1,266 tons of cement packed (into 50 kg three-layer paper bags) were produced, an increase of 8.6% against the same period last year.

The share of CEM II/A-S 32,5B remains invariably high, accounting for more than half of the total output. That said, there has been considerable growth of consumer demand for high-grade cement CEM I 42,5N. In January 2013, Mikhailovcement manufactured 18,019 tons of this type of cement, up 30% (4,117 tons) compared to the year before.

Own pit development allowed ensuring uninterruptible operation of the plant. In January 2014, 103.300 tons of own limestone and 35.300 tons of clay were extracted. The above-mentioned values are 19.8% and 15.7% higher than the output in January last year respectively.
