OREANDA-NEWS.   On the third day of the KADEX-2014 international exhibition, Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Karim Masimov toured the full-scale exhibits and products output by UralVagonZavod (Research and Production Corporation).

Special representative for the corporation’s military-and-technology cooperation Aleksey Maslov demonstrated a Т-72-based fire support vehicle ("Terminator-2") tailored to suit the requirements of the Kazakhstani Armed Forces.

Serik Akhmetov, the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, acknowledged Kazakhstan’s intentions to implement joint projects and establish joint ventures co-managed by UVZ and Kazakhstan Engineering.

Aleksey Maslov also held a meeting with Murat Maykeev who holds the position of Commander-in-Chief of the Army of the Kazakhstani Armed Forces.

It is to be recalled that the 3rd International Exhibition of Weapons Systems and Military Equipment "KADEX-2014" was held in Astana from May 22 to May 25.

At this exhibition, UVZ demonstrated up-to-date special vehicles produced by different companies to make a part of the integrated structure. The list of those vehicles includes the tank support fire fighting vehicle Terminator-2 built by UKBTM JSC (Nizhni Tagil), amphibious tracked vehicle, PTS-4, built by KBTM JSC (Omsk), and two development targets completed by the Central Research Institute Burevestnik JSC (Nizhni Novgorod), namely the check-out vehicle ‘KPM’  and a full-scale model of the ‘ATOM’ heavy wheeled infantry fighting vehicle.
