OREANDA-NEWS. Belaruskali JSC is launching massive renovation starting September 2014. The overhaul is expected to be completed by the end of the year.

As formerly reported, Belaruskali produced 75,000 tonnes of potash fertilisers in H1 2014.

The company exported 4.8 million tonnes of potash fertilizers in H1 2014, up 46.8% year on year, a company representative told.

Belaruskali produced 5.249 million tonnes of potassium chloride in H1 2014, including 910,500 tonnes extracted in June alone.

Belaruskali increased industrial output by 64.3% in H1 2014.

As previously reported, Belaruskali exported around 3.437 million tonnes of potash fertilizer (in terms of 100% potassium chloride) in 2013 (3.668 million in 2012).

Belaruskali's export proceeds stood at USD 2.063 billion in 2013, USD 2.651 billion in 2012.

The state-owned Belarusian company OAO Belaruskali is one of the world's largest manufacturers of potash fertilizers, employing about 18,440 personnel. It operates the Starobinskoye potash salts deposit and comprises four mine groups, auxiliary shops and support units.

Belaruskali controls more than 16% of the world's potash fertilizer market.
