OREANDA-NEWS. The Belarusian government is considering a new bill which may allow non-residents of Belarus to act as brokers of Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange.

Another change of the existing commodity exchange legislation stipulates the permission of trade in services (logistics, information, etc.).

Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange OJSC was registered by Minsk City administration on May 25 2004. Its founders are the Belarusian Material Resources Concern, national company Beltorginfoservis, Savings Bank Belarusbank OJSC, Beleximgarant export-import insurer.

BUCE operates five commodity sections: timber, farm products, industrial products, consumer goods, futures and options market.

BUCE embraces 12,300 registered participants from 56 states, including 2,600 non-residents.
