OREANDA-NEWS. More than 1,000 enterprises from around the globe will gather in Hefei, capital of East China's Anhui province, from August 30 to September 1 for an annual agricultural fair.

According to the organizing committee, 357 programs worth a total of 141.48 billion yuan (USD 22.82 billion) will be promoted at the fair, up from last year's 275 ones with a combined investment of 105.29 billion yuan.

The event will attract 1,245 agricultural businesses from across the country and 12 foreign countries. Out of them, ten are among the Fortune Global 500 and 17 among the Fortune China 500, said the committee. It is worthy of note that 190 co-ops and 67 family farms are due to appear at the event.

Anhui is one of China's leading agricultural provinces.
