OREANDA-NEWS. Transaero Airlines has announced its plans to expand its offering of direct scheduled services to Sochi from a number of Russian regions in the 2015 summer season.

Transaero Airlines will launch, for the first time in its history, regular flights from Ekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk and Tyumen to the capital of the 2014 Winter Olympics.

"We see the rising popularity of Sochi among Russian residents," - said Olga Pleshakova, CEO Transaero Airlines, - "Transaero's passenger traffic to Sochi in January 2015 doubled in comparison with January 2014. With a view to meet demand from the residents of the Ural region and Siberia, we have developed the programme of direct flights to Sochi."

Transaero will launch scheduled flights to Sochi from Krasnoyarsk (two flights per week) on April 24, from Ekaterinburg (four services per week) and Novosibirsk (three flights per week) on April 25, from Tyumen (two flights per week) on April 26. This flight programme will be effective until the end of October 2015.

In addition to new services, Transaero will continue to operate its traditional flights to Sochi from Moscow - both from Vnukovo and Domodedovo airports, as well as daily flights from St Petersburg.
