REANDA-NEWS. PassivSystems, a provider of smart heating controls, today announces the launch of a new campaign to help its resellers make Solar PV attractive once again. Since 2012 the Feed in Tariff has been reduced, with a further 3.5% degression planned for April 2015. This has left many Solar PV providers struggling to make the Return on Investment attractive to their customers.

PassivLiving HEAT is a low cost smart heating control service which when bundled with Solar PV could save customers an additional 23% on their heating & hot water consumption. When added to the Solar PV returns Return On Investment can be boosted considerably - a much needed additional saving as the FiT continues to decrease. Through the installation of PassivLiving HEAT, Solar PV providers will be giving their customers remote control of their heating system thereby enabling them to cut out wasted energy from their energy bills as well as giving them the option to return to the comfort of a warm home. According to a YouGov poll carried out in 2010, nearly 50% of people in the UK do not understand how their heating controls work. Through fitting easy to use controls such as PassivLiving HEAT with Solar PV, installers will be helping their customers to save not only on their electricity but on their heating / hot water as well. This will help to give customers a much needed respite from the above inflation tyranny of their bills.

Currently there are 2,700 Solar PV providers within the UK alone, with most offering a similar product with a similar payback period. PassivSystems is offering these companies an opportunity to stand out, and to retake control of a marketplace which many see as being too squeezed by Government cuts. By offering a partnership proposal to Solar PV providers within the UK, PassivSystems is helping their resellers to increase sales & revenue.

Commenting on the launch of this campaign, Colin Calder, CEO and Founder of PassivSystems, said; "As the UKs leading residential Solar PV irradiance performance monitoring and asset management company we are only too well aware of the impact FiT degression is having on the attractiveness of rooftop PV as an investment opportunity. That is why we have worked hard with our supply chain partners to develop a cost effective solution for putting financial returns back into rooftop PV. PassivLiving HEAT provides consumers with remote access to award winning smart heating controls that can reduce heating bills by 23% thereby significantly improving ROI when bundled with your PV proposition".
