OREANDA-NEWS. "The agricultural sector has been and still remains one of the key boosters of the Ukrainian economy", said Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk at a Government meeting on Wednesday, January 27.

During the session Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Oleksii Pavlenko presented a program to leverage additional investment into the agricultural sector and to enhance efficiency of its performance in 2016.

Arseniy Yatsenyuk reminded on January 26, he and members of the Government had met with representatives of the Ukrainian banking sector.

The management of one of the banks that is actively lending to agrarians, during the meeting admitted that they see changes in the agricultural sector: "If earlier farmers had to pay bribes for reference notes, certificates, throughout a year the situation has changed. There were abolished a number of administrative decisions, a lot of licenses, certificates, divest of authority various agricultural and veterinary inspections".

"Clients of these commercial banks say that there have greatly reduced corruption and administrative barriers in the agricultural sector", said the Head of Government, noting the conducted work and the active stance of Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Olexii Pavlenko.
