OREANDA-NEWS. According to the analytic agency "AUTOSTAT", at the end of 2015 the share of passenger cars that are equipped with automatic transmission, in Russia was 48.3% of sales. Thus, for the first time this figure has decreased.

Recall that before it the market share of "automatic" transmissions showed consistently the growth in our country. If in 2010 it was 33.6%, then in 2014 it came to its maximum peak - 49.1%.

According to the director of analytic agency "AUTOSTAT", Sergey Tselikov, the reduction of the share of sales of vehicles, equipped with automatic transmission, is largely connected with the desire of buyers to save in the current crisis, when the demand for cheaper modification of cars is growing, but they are usually equipped with mechanical transmission.
