OREANDA-NEWS  Next year, Jaecoo intends to localize the production of its crossovers in Russia. It is expected that the assembly will begin at two enterprises in St. Petersburg, which today belong to the Russian company AGR (AGR Automotive Group). This is reported by the website "Chinese Cars".

It is expected that cars will be assembled at the former Hyundai plant in Sestroretsk, as well as at the Shushary plant, which has been idle for more than 10 years, previously owned by General Motors. The latter is being actively prepared for relaunch and has already started recruiting staff.

It is also possible that after the organization of serial production of Chinese crossovers in Russia, they will receive a different name and will be called Jeland VT7 instead of Jaecoo J7.
