OREANDA-NEWS The production of TVD-10 engines, which can be used to modernize AN-2 light aircraft, is planned to resume in Russia, said Anton Alikhanov, head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.

"We have a project to resume production of TVD-10 engines. They can just be used to re-engine the An-2 and further modernize these aircraft," he said in an interview with Rossiya 24.

The AN-2 is a light transport aircraft, a biplane with a bracing wing. The aircraft is popularly known as the "Corncob". It is used on local air lines as a passenger and cargo aircraft.
