OREANDA-NEWS. Tele2, an alternative mobile operator, ran the 10th anniversary People Open Day. Sales in single-brand stores taking part the event all over Russia surged 188% compared to a regular business day. The operator’s clients were actively taking part in the contest whose winners would become faces of a new advertising campaign.

On 21 April, Tele2 held the traditional People Open Day. The company’s employees left their working places and went to the company’s stores and city streets in order to meet Tele2 clients in person. They explained advantages of the My Tele2 tariff range, answered visitors’ questions about the quality of connections and devices, registered newly connected SIMs.

Over 1200 employees in 600 stores took part in the anniversary People Open Day. The company’s top managers have also joined the event. Tele2 CEO Sergey Emdin visited Tele2 store in Krasnoyarsk, whereas Chief Operational Officer Dmitriy Lopatukhin consulted clients in Lipetsk.

Tele2 prepared a number of surprises for its clients on the People Open Day – they could purchase smartphones and accessories at a 30% discount. The company has organized the contest for its subscribers − “Without celebs in our ads”. Winners will take part in a photoshoot and become faces of a new advertising campaign. Tele2 clients were making photos in special frames set in Tele2 stores and posted pictures on social networks. The company will announce the contest results on 16 May.
