OREANDA-NEWS. July 25, 2016. The results of the 2nd round of the contest among young professionals and innovators held by Gazprom Energoholding Group were announced in St. Petersburg.

The commssion announced the winners in two sections at the research and technological conference. Winners in “Technology” category:

 - Vitaly Simonov, Deputy Head of boiler-and-turbine facility at Pravoberezhnaya CHPP - 1st place. Subject: The use of heat from steam-air mixture of steam turbine condenser, st. No. 23 in DH cycle, Pravoberezhnaya CHPP;

- Sergey Duriagin, thermal instrumentation & control shop engineer at Apatitskaya CHPP - 2nd place. Subject: Transfer of health information of remote facility's equipment and remote control of valves using panel-based controller SPK-207 by the Production Cooperation OWEN LLC;

- Nikolai Chesnokov, Head of Matkozhnenskaya HPP, Vyg HPPs Cascade - 3rd place. Subject: Hydroelectric power plants pipelines repair.

"The works are in full conformity with the high levels of previous years. These works highlight not just scientific ideas and intentions, but real projects and in-place implementation," said Mikhail Tuznikov, the Chairman of the Contest Commission, Deputy General Director for Economy and Finance.

Winners in “Management and automation” category:

- Ivan Chernenko, lead specialist in Investment Programme and Reporting Division of Investments Department - 1st place. Subject: Improvement of JSC TGC-1 operations on the WEM;

- Nikita Vydrin, lead specialist of Power Plants Operation Department and Sergej Ivanov, Head of Production Systems Directorate – 2nd place. Subject: Upgrading the organization level of startup operations for combined-cycle plants of JSC TGC-1;

- Alexander Sosnin, Head of Economics Division of Karelskiy Branch - 3rd place. Subject: Use of Microsoft Power BI business intelligence software for receivables management.

In addition, the below certificates were given to:

1. "For qualification"

Alexander A. Yakunov - electrician on repair and service of relay protection and automatic equipment at Apatitskaya CHPP. Subject: Methods for solving the ferroresonance phenomena in networks 10 kV using TN-10 kV ZNOLP-EK;

2. "For scientific approach"

Andrey S. Sokolov - adjustment and test engineer, grade 2, Production and Technical Department, Yuzhnaya CHPP. Subject: Project of microalgae production using energy-saving technologies to utilize waste heat of the Yuzhnaya CHPP and carbon dioxide capture;

3. "For innovative approach"

Tatyana S. Vazhinskaya – lead specialist, Production Systems Directorate. Subject: Corporate culture in operations on the basis of 5S system.

The assessment principles of the winners included the researches quality, workover degree, innovation of the proposed concepts and prospects of the projects' implementation at enterprises of the Company. The authors of the best scientific and practical developments will represent JSC TGC-1 in the final round of the contest among young professionals and innovators held by Gazprom Energoholding Group to take place in September 2016.
