OREANDA-NEWS  In the first days of January, Europe imported almost 400 million cubic meters of liquefied natural gas (LNG) per day, which is slightly lower than the average in December, RIA Novosti calculated, having studied data from the Association of European Gas Infrastructure Operators (GIE).

Shipments from LNG terminals to the gas transportation network totaled about 393 million cubic meters on January 1, and approached 396 million cubic meters the next day. The figure in December averaged 411 million cubic meters per day (an increase of 4.6% and 3.8%, respectively).

Imports in December 2025 amounted to 12.7 billion cubic meters, which is 1.9% more than in November 2025, and 21.5% more than in December 2024.
