OREANDA-NEWS   The Russian environmental operator has developed GOST standards for the production of alternative fuels from household waste for the metallurgical and cement industries, the company's press service reported.

"Rosstandart has approved GOST standards on resource conservation regulating the production of alternative fuels from solid municipal waste for the metallurgical and cement industries. The new standards expanded the existing series of standards in the field of handling various types of waste, aimed at achieving the indicators of the national Ecology project," the press service of the General Director of the REO Denis Butsaev quotes.

The company clarified that GOST "Resource conservation. Alternative fuel from municipal solid waste for the metallurgical industry. Technical conditions" considers the use of residues of sorted municipal solid waste for the production of alternative fuels from them and suggests using them in the metallurgical industry.
