Oil supplies from Russia have collapsed

OREANDA-NEWS Offshore oil exports from Russia have dropped sharply over the past week amid drone attacks on Baltic Sea ports. Bloomberg writes about this with reference to data from ship tracking systems.
Weekly exports in the period up to September 14 immediately lost 934 thousand barrels per day, dropping to 3.18 million barrels. This is the strongest decline since July last year.
The average figure for four weeks increased slightly, from 3.42 million to 3.46 million barrels per day, but this result was achieved in previous weeks.
The agency notes that two tankers were damaged in the port of Primorsk, which was attacked last week, and the port of Ust-Luga shipped only half of the previous week's volume. Experts do not rule out that the latest result is related to strikes on three pumping stations delivering cargo to the terminal itself.
Earlier, the publication warned that drone attacks on oil refineries and port infrastructure could force Russian oil companies to reduce oil production. The defeat of enterprises reduces their ability to accept raw materials for processing, and previously the excess barrels were exported. However, in the new conditions, the oil storage capacity may fill up quickly, after which production will have to be reduced.
