Russians have been warned about rising electricity tariffs

OREANDA-NEWS Electricity tariffs will increase by 12.6 percent from July 1, 2025, and by another 9.3 percent from July 2026. This is stated in the forecast of the Ministry of Economic Development for 2025-2028, the document was reviewed by TASS.
It is noted that in 2027 and 2028, the growth will be 6.9 and 4.9 percent, respectively. The forecast is based on the expected inflation rate and an increase in the rate of gas price indexation.
Earlier, the head of the Central Bank of Russia, Elvira Nabiullina, said that inflation could rise in July due to the indexation of utility tariffs. She noted that the transition to a decrease in annual inflation in Russia is expected in May, but in July.
