OREANDA-NEWS Alexander Dyukov, the head of Gazprom Neft, believes that now Russia needs to impose a complete ban on gasoline exports for 2-3 months to prevent its leaching from the country to foreign markets.
Answering a question from journalists on the sidelines of the RSPP congress whether a ban on gasoline exports is needed now, Dyukov said: "Yes, such a ban is necessary for 2-3 months, because we see a significant increase in world prices not only for oil, but also for petroleum products. In order to prevent the "leaching" of gasoline from the Russian market to foreign markets, where it can now be sold at high prices, such a ban is needed."
At the moment, Russia has a ban on gasoline exports only for non-producers until the end of July. At the same time, large oil companies are allowed to export.
