OREANDA-NEWS The second wave of the departure of foreign companies from Russia has begun, Ivan Fedyakov, director of the Infoline information and analytical agency, told the Telegram channel Radiotochka NSN. It is caused by the fact that the military operation in Ukraine is being delayed, he explained.

«Due to the delay of the special operation in Ukraine, the second wave of departure of foreign companies is already beginning. Such a wave is no longer connected with political reasons, but with economic ones. Companies are beginning to realize that sanctions and disruption of production chains in Russia will inevitably affect the domestic market. The volume of demand for products will decrease, which may lead to a deterioration in the economic performance of many companies», Fedyakov said.

He suggested that with the second wave, the remaining foreign companies that are still working may leave the country. According to the analyst, trust in relations with foreign business is undermined, European entrepreneurs will use Russia as a sales market only. In the worst case, one should expect «an iron curtain on one side, and a concrete wall on the other». The rupture of relations is going on in all spheres, says Fedyakov.
