OREANDA-NEWS. June 06, 2016. State Committee for Standardization of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Education, and the Belarusian State Institute for Standardization and Certification (BelGISS) conducted the second stage of the Belarusian student competition in quality management. The contest was held within the international youth movement Quality Race.

Quality Race is aimed at attracting young people to the movement for high quality and business excellence, improving quality of products and services, and attaining sustainable development of society and quality of life. Students and graduate students of Belarusian universities, as well as young professionals under the age of 30 who is involved in quality assurance of products and services can participate in the Belarusian quality management competition.

Conducted for the third time, the event attracted 37 participants. Of them, 22 competed in the individual event, while the team event featured nine teams.

The panel of judges included the representatives of the State Committee for Standardization of the Republic of Belarus, the Belarusian State Institute for Standardization and Certification (BelGISS), and IBA Group.

The competition was conducted in two stages. During the first stage, the judging panel evaluated and selected best essays of the contestants. At the second stage, the students delivered presentations on the chosen topics. Thus, the panel of judges had a possibility to evaluate their theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and creativity.

The Belarusian National Technical University was announced the winner both in the team and individual events.

The State Committee for Standardization of the Republic of Belarus sent a letter to thank IBA for the company's support of the competition.
