OREANDA-NEWS Exports of tangerines and their hybrids from China to Russia increased more than sixfold in September 2026, to the highest level since April. This is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to customs data.

In September, shipments of this fruit from China to the domestic market soared 6.1 times compared to August. In value terms, they reached $4.7 million. In annual terms, the growth was more moderate — by 8 percent.

Shipments of grapefruits and pomelo from China to Russia increased 2.2 times in September compared to August, although they showed a decline year-on-year.

Earlier it became known about the drop in imports of Turkish oranges to Russia. In August 2026, it collapsed from 89.6 thousand to 10 dollars. Ankara has redirected the main flow of citrus fruits to Iraq this month, while another part went to Germany and Azerbaijan.

At the same time, in the spring, Turkey, on the contrary, doubled the supply of oranges to Russia. At the same time, the import of tangerines was increased, by one and a half times in money, to 10.8 million.
