OREANDA-NEWS  IKEA Corporation has extended the validity period of the exclusive right to the Ikea Family trademark for 10 years. This is reported by TASS.

The copyright holder is the Dutch Inter IKEA Systems B.V. The note says that the application for trademark renewal has been submitted several times. The previous time, the company extended the rights until September 2026. The new trademark expiration date is September 2036.

It clarifies that the mark is registered according to 19 classes of the International Classification of Goods and Services (ICTS), covering paints and cosmetics, tools and household appliances, jewelry and other products.

In March 2022, the Swedish IKEA group suspended operations in Russia and Belarus. Ingka Centers, which previously worked on IKEA's development in the Russian market, has also sold all Mega shopping malls to Gazprombank.

At the end of October, it became known that the Danish manufacturer of children's building blocks Lego extended the trademark in Russia. The trademark rights have been extended until 2036.
