OREANDA-NEWS  The international division of Ozon - Ozon Global - announced the opening of a representative office in Shenzhen, China.

According to the company's press release, China belongs to the key areas of Ozon Global; the number of sellers from China now exceeds 10 thousand, they account for more than 90% of the assortment of the global marketplace showcase. At the same time, goods from China account for about 95% of the total share of Ozon Global orders.

By opening a representative office in China, Ozon plans to attract "more than 100 thousand sellers from China and increase the turnover of local goods on the site 10 times by 2024."

The Chinese office of Ozon Global will be headed by Simon Huang, who has experience in cross-border trade and e-commerce in the USA, India and China. In particular, he is the founder of a startup that was acquired by GlowRoad, which later became part of the Amazon business.

In September, Ozon Global launched a partner delivery of goods from China (carried out through GBS, Unitrade, Hecny, Eshun, Xingyuan Express, Cainiao); it allowed to reduce the delivery time of goods from China to the Russian Federation by almost half.

Currently, the key destinations of Ozon Global are China, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Belarus, India, Korea, Israel, Moldova and Thailand. In particular, the company opened a representative office in Turkey in the summer.
