OREANDA-NEWS   According to the results of the first three months of this year, Russian exporters increased the supply of agricultural products to Kazakhstan to a historic maximum. A sharp increase in shipments of domestic food to the post-Soviet country is reported by Interfax, citing data from the federal center Agroexport.

In January-March, the supply of Russian agricultural products in this direction exceeded the result for the whole of last year. Exports have updated the historical maximum in both physical and monetary terms. During the reporting period, its volumes increased by one and a half times, to 2.4 million tons, and the total cost increased by 28 percent, to one billion dollars, experts said.

Wheat, shipments of which exceeded $ 105 million, as well as sugar (over $89 million), flour confectionery (about $80 million), sunflower oil (over $72 million) and chocolate treats (about $69 million) became the most in-demand types of products of the Russian agro-industrial complex in Kazakhstan, analysts concluded.

Another popular Russian product in the post-Soviet country turned out to be instant coffee. Its shipments in January-April increased by almost a quarter year-on-year, and the value of exports reached almost $ 100 million. Kazakhstan, in turn, actively increased beer supplies to the Russian market in early spring.
