OREANDA-NEWS Prices for Iranian porcelain have soared amid the war in the Middle East. This is reported by the Telegram channel Baza.

Supplies from the popular Russian factories Zarin Iran Porcelain Industries, Pars Opal and Taghdis have been suspended, as a result of which prices for their products have begun to rise. According to market representatives, Iranian porcelain is still noticeably cheaper than its European counterparts, so demand for it will continue until it disappears from the shelves altogether.

Before the outbreak of hostilities in the Persian Gulf, a dessert plate made of Iranian porcelain retailed for about 350-400 rubles, a porcelain teapot for about 2,700 rubles, and a set of four plates for about 4,200 rubles. Prices have now increased by an average of 12 percent.

After the start of the joint military operation between the United States and Israel, Iranian exporters significantly reduced shipments of vegetables to the Russian market. Against this background, Turkey has occupied a vacant niche and helped Russia to stabilize the situation in the domestic food market. In early March, Turkey compensated for the decrease in vegetable supplies from Iran by sharply increasing exports of peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes and eggplants.
