A Russian car brand has stopped selling one model

OREANDA-NEWS Russians no longer have the opportunity to purchase an electric car, the Evolve i-Jet. The price page for this model has disappeared from the brand's official website, writes the Telegram channel "Chinese Cars". Elizaveta Khmeleva, Director of Public Relations for the Evolve brand, explained the reason for the curtailment of electric car sales.
According to her, this is due to the revision of the production strategy. "We have now suspended the assembly of this model, as our focus is on affordable and mass—produced Evolute models (I-Space and I-Joy), the conveyor is currently occupied by them. I can't give an exact answer about the future of this model yet. It is likely that due to the new recycling rates, the production of cars of such capacity may not be in demand on the market," said Khmeleva. Referring to analyst data, she noted that there is now a high demand for hybrid versions in Russia, rather than for clean electric cars.
The Evolute i-Jet went on sale in the spring of 2024. The starting price of the new product at that time was 6.92 million rubles, excluding special offers. By the beginning of 2026, the model had dropped to 5.27 million.
Earlier it became known how many models of Chinese brands have left the Russian market since the beginning of 2026. But there is also a reverse trend. In the first two months of this year, 16 new models appeared in Russia.
