AvtoVAZ expects lower Lada sales in February

OREANDA-NEWS AvtoVAZ expects to sell about 27,000 new Lada cars in February this year, Maxim Sokolov, the head of the company, told reporters.
"Our goal is to reach around 27,000 sales in February," he said.
In February 2024, 27.9 thousand new Lada cars were sold. Thus, in February of this year, sales are expected to decrease by about 3% in annual terms.
Sokolov added that to date, more than 500,000 cars have accumulated in the warehouses of dealers and manufacturers, and AvtoVAZ's own stocks have approached 100,000 cars at a rate of 60,000.
"The market as a whole is going worse than the trajectory of last year, February 2024. Whether it will overcome the 100 thousand mark is a big question for the month of February," said the head of AvtoVAZ.
According to the analytical agency Autostat, 103,954 new passenger cars were sold in Russia in February 2024.
