OREANDA-NEWS  Every second aircraft in the fleet of Russian airlines must be of domestic production, according to government documents reviewed by RIA Novosti.

"The share of domestically produced aircraft in the fleet of Russian air carriers ... by 2030 is 50%," the document says.

Currently, 19% of Russian-made aircraft are in the fleets of domestic airlines, by 2028 this figure should reach 30%, and by 2030 - 50%.

It is also planned to increase the number of domestic unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) in the Russian market. If Russian UAS currently account for about 43% of the market, by 2028 they should be more than half, and by 2030 - more than 70%.

In January 2024, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced that more than 600 fully Russian airliners should be built over the next six years. The fleet of Russian airlines will be based on SSJ-New, MS-21-310, IL-114-300, Tu-214 and Il-96-300 aircraft.
