OREANDA-NEWS On Friday, February 20, Muscovites should massively abandon car trips and switch to the subway or other types of public transport due to snowfall. Residents of the capital were urged to do this by the press service of the metropolitan Department of Transport in Telegram.

The department warned that snowfall is expected in the city, which may take longer than usual to travel by car. In this regard, it will be possible to get around the city faster by metro, the Department of Transport noted. However, if it is not possible to abandon the car, drivers were asked to avoid traveling during rush hours, from 07:00 to 10:00 and from 15:30 to 19:00, when traffic is most intense. "Keep an increased distance and avoid sudden maneuvers. Plan your route in advance," the agency recommended.

Earlier, Vice-president of the National Union of Motorists Jan Heitser gave motorists advice in case of heavy snowfall. So, drivers should take care of the non-freezing liquid in the washer tank in advance and be sure to have a brush with them.
