OREANDA-NEWS  Avtodor Group and the government of the Russian Federation are looking for 1.5 trillion rubles. for the construction of the Dzhubga—Sochi toll road. Funds in the amount of 74 billion rubles. there is so far only for the first stage of the project — the bypass of Adler, the construction of which the authorities promise to begin before the end of the year. Avtodor suggests using both budgetary and extra-budgetary sources for the remaining sections, but the funding structure has yet to be agreed by the White House. It has not yet been decided how the route will go — through Dzhubga or Goryachy Klyuch.

Now Sochi and Dzhubga (a resort town in the Tuapse district), we recall, are connected by an overloaded A-147 road passing through many settlements. The project of an alternative route, which will seriously reduce the travel time for motorists (from seven to two hours from the Hot Key to Sochi), has been discussed for more than five years, in 2022 the state company Avtodor was preparing a feasibility study of the project.

At the moment, a preliminary tracing is ready and an "estimate of the cost of capital expenditures" has been made, First Deputy head of Avtodor Igor Koval said yesterday, speaking at the Forum of Road Initiatives in Sochi.

The highway will cost about 1.5 trillion rubles, he said, but this is a preliminary estimate before the appearance of design and estimate documentation. Recall that in 2018, the A-147 reconstruction project was estimated at 1.2 trillion rubles, in 2020 — at 1.4 trillion rubles.
