OREANDA-NEWS The Federal Air Transport Agency has extended the recommendations (NOTAM) on the use of Israeli and Iranian airspace until March 28.

"Flights of Russian air transport operators to these countries and the use of their airspace for transit flights have been suspended until 23:59 Moscow time on March 27, 2026," the ministry said.

When operating flights to the Persian Gulf countries, airlines are advised to choose detour routes through the airspace of third countries in compliance with safety and monitoring the recommendations of their aviation authorities.

Flight restrictions were introduced at the end of February due to the escalation of the military conflict in the Middle East.

Regular flights to Israel from Russian airlines were operated by Red Wings and Azimut, and to Iran by Aeroflot.
