"We confirm that there is at least one drone in the Latvian airspace," the message says.
On Thursday, May 21, an air alert was announced in Latvia. A warning about a possible threat was announced in the Kraslavsky, Ludzensky, Rezekne and Augsdaugava regions of the country.
Earlier, the Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) of the Russian Federation stated that the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) is preparing attacks on Russia from the territory of Latvia. At the same time, the Foreign Minister of the Baltic Republic, Baiba Brazhe, said that Riga does not intend to allow the use of the country's airspace for attacks on Russia.
