OREANDA-NEWS   The program of cross-country flights to the International Space Station (ISS) has been extended until 2030 at the request of the American side, Roscosmos CEO Dmitry Bakanov said.

"Both they and we, of course, have cross-flights, which, at the request of our American colleagues, have been extended until 2030," Bakanov said in an interview with the Vesti news agency, answering the question whether Russia will still deliver Americans to space.

"At least our relations on the International Space Station have not been severed. We are still cooperating within the framework of this project," Bakanov said, answering a question about possible new projects with the United States in the space sector.

Earlier on Wednesday, First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov announced that Russia was negotiating with partners to extend the operation of the ISS until 2032. "Our manned program, cross-flights and work on the International Space Station are continuing as planned," Manturov said.

Currently, a program of cross-flights between the Russian Federation and the United States is being implemented as part of the ISS project. Russian cosmonauts fly to the station on American Crew Dragon manned spacecraft, and American astronauts fly on Russian Soyuz MS manned spacecraft.
