OREANDA-NEWS  A court has arrested former Armenian President Robert Kocharyan for two months. This was announced by Marina Ohanjanyan, press secretary of the republic's Anti-Corruption Committee, RIA Novosti reports.

"He was arrested for two months," she said.

Kocharyan was taken to the hospital in the midst of the trial in his case after seven hours of the hearing. They decided to consider the request for his detention without his participation.

On the morning of August 25, former President of the Republic Robert Kocharyan was taken to the Anti-Corruption Committee of Armenia. He headed the republic from 1998 to 2008. In the last parliamentary elections in 2026, his Armenia movement took third place.
