Almost 100 thousand inhabitants of one European country lost their electricity

OREANDA-NEWS Almost 100,000 Lithuanian residents lost their electricity after a severe storm last Saturday, August 22. Rasa Juodkene, a representative of the Energy Systems Operator company, drew attention to the incident in a European country on LRT radio.
According to the expert, at the peak of the outages, 268,000 households were left without electricity, but by the morning of August 25, about 60 percent of them had been able to return light to their homes. At the moment, energy supply is still limited for more than 93,000 consumers, Juodkene said.
The LRT added that in the areas most affected by the disaster, reconstruction work may take until the weekend.
Earlier it was reported that the city of Brovary near Kiev was left without electricity.
