OREANDA-NEWS  The American company Apple will refuse to rent a Russian office in the Romanov Dvor business center near the Kremlin. This is reported by RBC with reference to two sources in the commercial real estate market.

For the first time Apple rented a room with an area of 3.5 thousand square meters. m in the business center five years ago, later increasing the area to 4.7 thousand square meters, told the consulting company CORE.XP. According to one of the sources of the publication, with the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the Russian headquarters was not fully used.

Another source of the newspaper clarified that the decision to terminate the lease was made after the announcement of partial mobilization in Russia in September, now the company is negotiating the terms of termination of the contract.

According to the Unified State Register of Real Estate, the lease agreement for premises at the address: Romanov Lane, 4, building 2, at Apple Rus LLC is valid until January 2025.

At the end of September, the Vedomosti newspaper wrote that Apple and Google had transferred their employees from Russia to other countries by the end of the summer. So, the employees were taken to Kyrgyzstan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). At the same time, most of the employees moved to Kyrgyzstan, from which the current head of Apple's relations with government agencies, Nazim Turdumambetov, hails. Apple has not officially announced its withdrawal from the Russian market.
