OREANDA-NEWS. Press Secretary of the President of the United States Dmitry Peskov commented on the situation in the Donbass.

“What is happening in the Donbass is disturbing news that causes a feeling of anxiety, and it is potentially very dangerous,” a Kremlin spokesman said during a briefing.

The journalists also asked Peskov's opinion on reports that US President Joe Biden and his aides use the services of 17 intelligence agencies in the country, and how things are with the intelligence services in Russia.

“US intelligence services are many different. [Russian President Vladimir] Putin is doing well, we don’t have so many of them (intelligence services), but they are no less effective,” the spokesman said.

On the eve of the representatives of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics said that the armed forces of Ukraine opened fire on their positions. Ruslan Yakubov, head of the DPR office at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of the Ceasefire, said that Kiev is ignoring the Minsk agreements by using mortars and artillery.

In addition, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Kiev would not enter into direct negotiations with Donetsk and Luhansk.
